Cyber Education Lab
● Cyber Education Lab
The cyber education lab is a facility space for the purpose of improving programming skills that can be used in practice. About 40 computers are installed, and programs such as AutoCAD, Matlab, and Midas that can be optimized to improve computer skills are prepared. In the cyber education lab, expert training courses such as construction CAD, basic scientific calculation, and computerized structural analysis are conducted every year, providing systematic and professional education to students.
Water experiment building
● Water experiment building
In the Hydraulic Experiment Building of the Department of Construction and Environment Plant Engineering at Hanyang University, hydraulic research has been conducted on irrigation channels and perforated walls. As experimental equipment, we have a water tank for hydraulic experiments, irrigation channel facilities, slits, and a sowing machine capable of making various types of waves.
Numerical Model Lab
● Numerical Model Lab
In the HYCERG laboratory, a separate laboratory is secured to implement and execute computational models of various phenomena, and a numerical computational computer cluster is established. In order to handle calculations on a large area, this laboratory is equipped with a Linux cluster consisting of 14 computational nodes of 56 core and 112GB class, and one login node, and 3 work stations for computation comprising 24 cores and 96GB. Through this, research on tsunami, meteorological tsunami, and wave propagation and deformation is being conducted.
Soil laboratory
● Soil laboratory
Soil is one of the most important materials for engineering. The engineering properties of soil can be known through field tests and indoor tests. In the soil laboratory of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Hanyang University, soils are generally and engineeringly classified through sieve analysis tests, and tests to find out the engineering characteristics of soils are performed through shear tests and consolidation tests. The data on the properties of soil obtained as a result of field tests or indoor tests are very important tests because they are used for various purposes by geotechnical engineers.
Environmental Engineering Lab
● Environmental Engineering Lab
The Environmental Engineering Lab is a space for the purpose of helping theoretical and experimental understanding of environmental subjects through physical/chemical analysis of environmental pollutants. This lab can measure and analyze various environmental pollutants based on process test methods and instrument analysis methods. Furthermore, this lab is equipped with basic environmental testing equipment such as spectrophotometer, microscope, pH/DO meter, water purification system, dry oven, and shaking incubator.
Environmental Analysis Lab
● Environmental Analysis Lab
The Environmental Analysis Lab is co-operated by Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Ansan Green Environment Center, which has various specialized analyzers for the precise operation of environmental pollutant analysis. The devices include Gas Chromatography, Ion Chromatography, Total Organic Carbon Analyzer, Atomic Absorption Spectrometer, Clean Bench, and Phase Microscope.
Water Engineering Lab
● Water Engineering Lab
The water engineering laboratory is a space for the purpose of helping understanding the principle of biological removal of pollutants and treatment mechanisms through the operation and analysis of biological water treatment processes on a lab-scale. Various biological reactors are operated for the treatment of organic substances and other nutrients such as nitrogen/phosphorus using an aerobic/anaerobic treatment process system, and basic experimental equipment for water quality analysis has been established.
