주요연구분야로는 생물학적 하·폐수처리음식물쓰레기 처리방안 및 오염 토양·지하수 복원 등의 환경오염 원인에 대한 기초연구를 하며이를 통해 환경정책 수립 및 평가까지 수행하고 있다.
